Completed in 2000, the current Central Joint Fire District station was strategically built near the center of the district’s coverage area to improve response capabilities and operational efficiency. The facility was constructed at a total cost of $412,000 and was fully paid off in 2009.
The 60' x 140' station includes a 60' x 75' apparatus bay area with five apparatus bays, allowing vehicles to be filled while remaining inside the building. The facility also features a 30' x 40' training room, communications center, showers, expanded storage areas, a backup generator added in 2010, and a breathing air compressor with a cascade system.
Between 2020 and 2025, the building underwent a facelift, with epoxy floors in the bays, new floor drains, fresh paint, new lighting, and new siding.

The Break Room provides firefighters and personnel with a comfortable space for meals, meetings, and downtime during training, standby, and emergency response operations.

The Operations Room serves as the department’s administrative and resource center, housing computers for fire reporting and department documentation, as well as a video and training library, department scrapbooks and photographs, standard operating procedures, and other essential reference materials. The workspace is organized with shared officer workstations, with two officers assigned per desk.

The Dispatch Area is equipped with the department’s in-house paging system if needed, networked computer systems for reporting and communication, internet access, and other essential technology that supports efficient emergency response coordination and daily operations.

Designed for efficiency and safety, it serves as a critical part of station operations by ensuring crews have quick access to clean, properly maintained gear whenever duty calls.

The Station Meeting Room serves as a central gathering space for training, department meetings, incident reviews, and community collaboration. Built to support communication, leadership, and continued education, it provides firefighters and staff with a professional environment to plan, learn, and work together in service to the community.
