The CJFD Fire Prevention Bureau is dedicated to protecting lives, property, and the environment through fire safety education, code enforcement, inspections, and emergency preparedness. Our mission is to reduce the risk of fire and hazardous incidents by promoting public awareness, ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations, and partnering with the community to create a safer future. Through prevention programs, plan reviews, investigations, and ongoing outreach, the bureau works proactively to safeguard residents, businesses, and visitors while supporting the overall mission of public safety and emergency response.
CJFD adopts the 2025 Ohio Fire Code to ensure the highest standards of fire and life safety are maintained throughout the community. The bureau is committed to consistent enforcement of the code while assisting residents, contractors, and business owners with guidance, inspections, and education to help maintain safe and compliant properties.
