Here is a list of events, details, and announcements as recently discussed at the business meeting. Please plan for them in your schedule!

Announcements:

• NIMS- National Incident Management System Class- if you need NIMS 700 and 800 please see AC Lee ASAP.  This is a required course of study for all FF.

• Anyone needing CPR please see FF/Paramedic Bob Fyfe

• Reminder- sign up for your new fire card on the internet as previously directed. If you have questions please see Captain Amos or Lt. Rossow. This is a state-wide requirement in order to keep your fire certification

Events:

State Fire School, May 5-9,2008 @ BGSU. Applications and booklet are on the Board. We will be building POD City again this year at our station. Stay tuned for construction dates. We also have opportunities for training as the instructors for the both Fire arson classes- auto and house set fire to the POD City and to 6-7 cars. We will be able to practice putting them out. It would be a great 3-4 hour session for people to attain practice in fire ops.

Drill Night- All drills start at 1900 hours. Please be prompt. Officers meeting preceding FF Association meeting at 1900 hours 2nd Tuesday of the month

Do you need CPR Recert or to be initially certified?

You must  complete a "request for training form"

CPR- Certified instructors are: Bob Fyfe, Sue Gavron; Lisa Giesige. FF/Paramedic Bob Fyfe is the Coordinator for CPR.

New CPR Guidelines- we continue to perform as we were trained. The "compression only" procedure is for lay people, not us.
