Events:

Annual Chicken BBQ Fundraiser=  Sunday, October 17th. Set-up starts at 0800. Cost is 7:50 per dinner. Take out and drive through available.

Turkey Shoots= Sundays,  October 24th and November 7th . Start @ 1PM cost is $3.00 per round.

NOVA Golf Tourney- we will sponsor 1 team for this event if there is interest. Date= September 18th at Gibsonburg. Check bulletin board.

Classes:

 Basic  Fire Class registration starts on 8/23 at the Station. Please be respectful of the students when entering and exiting the area. Actual class starts following Labor Day weekend.

Haz Mat Tech Class- October 30 and 31 and  November 6th. sign-up is on the board.

Announcements:

Chief has requested that no one call him on his cell phone at the following times due to his new responsibilities: 6:30 AM- 9:00 AM and 2:00 Pm -4:00PM.

Generally do not remove any run sheets (1520 forms) from the notebook. If it is absolutely necessary then please leave a sticky note in dispatch in the notebook as to the run, the number and your name so we can keep things in order. Return as soon as you have completed your task.

**All firefighters- Please don't forget to thoroughly complete the 1520 forms. Enter personnel alphabetically. It's ok if you miss one and add them at the bottom but do make the lists complete.

Officers- Use the new Panasonic laptop notebook for your reports and other assigned tasks. Let people know who has the laptop if you take it from the building by leaving a sticky note in dispatch office.

**FF card registration-online- Chief has asked us to go online and put a secondary email address on our informaiton page. Please use the following: cjfd01@gmail.com. This way when our card is to expire the Chief will be notified in case you forget to check your email. Cards must be maintained or else you lose them and will no longer be able to respond to a fire scene. As of January1, 2011 Fire and EMS cards will expire on your birth date. No more mailings.

We now have a department Face Book Page- one that is public and for "fans" and one just for us to communicate. This is another good way for us to present ourselves to the public. Please be respectful of what you write on both pages.

• NIMS- National Incident Management System Class- if you need NIMS 700 and 800 and 100 please see AC Lee ASAP. This is a required course of study for all FF.  

Do you need CPR Re-cert or to be initially certified?

You must  complete a "request for training form"

CPR- Certified instructors are:FF/Paramedic Bob Fyfe, and FF Lisa Giesige.  FF/Paramedic Bob Fyfe is the Coordinator for CPR. All FF must have this credential current at all times.
